Overview
The Vernon Regional Airport is a City owned and managed facility located on approximately 95 acres at an elevation of 1140' above sea level approximately five miles southwest of downtown Vernon.
Vernon Regional Airport is a commercial airport that houses industrial based businesses focusing on aircraft manufacturing and maintenance as well as a base for corporate, commercial, and general aviation.
There are 19 businesses on the field that employ 120 people. Cumulatively the Airport contributes 30 Million dollars annually to the local economy and has become a major economic generator for the region.
The City of Vernon has completed Phase I of a multi-phase upgrade to the airport since assuming control in 1998 with the goal of continuing to attract new business to the Vernon area. The airport currently has over five acres in their airside land available for long-term lease at competitive rates.
The Vernon Regional Airport has completed a 200 ft Phase I runway extension and constructed a temporary terminal building in 2006.
